What Causes Chronic Pain & Injuries?

Pain is fully governed by the nervous system and brain. No Brain, No Pain!

This gives pain a complex interplay between mechanical, emotional, and sensory stimulus which creates the pain we experience.

There are many factors that contribute to an injury and pain. Most commonly it's an overuse problem due to poor planning and programing, a lack of capacity to perform a task which causes an overload of a structure (such as a lack of strength or flexibility) or even increased stress from our daily lives.

When it comes to chronic pain, things just don't magically become sore, this is something that develops over time. Whether its an acute injury from trauma (like a fall or accident) or gradual build up of a structure being irritated, if this continues for long enough, there are changes to our brain and nervous system, this is when an injury becomes chronic.

How We Help
Individualised Treatment Plans

Individualised treatment plans improve your results as your care is  tailored to your unique needs, history, and lifestyle. Some people want to get back to sport, some want to play with their kids, others just simply want to do to work with less pain, everyone is different and requires a unique approach.

Patients are more likely to adhere to treatment plans that align with their specific conditions and goals, leading to better compliance and a faster recovery.

Our rehabilitation programs have adjusted exercises based on mobility and pain levels that yield significantly better results than generalised routines. Additionally, personalised treatment reduces unnecessary interventions, less strain on healthcare resources and even prevents hospital admissions.
