  • Workplace Rehabilitation focuses on the treatment, recovery and plans for work-related injuries, which is usually covered by WorkCover/WorkSafe.

  • TAC Rehabilitation refers to treating and managing injuries sustained in transport accidents such as car accidents, which is overseen by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC).

What to Consider When Choosing a Workplace & TAC Rehab Practitioner

  • How much experience does the practionor have with workplace and trasnport injuires. These injuries are generally complex and have multiple problems that need to be addressed by different professionals.
    It's important your practioner knows this and is able to work collaborative in a team with others and not try to manage everything by themselves.

     

  • It is also important you see a cliniction who knows the Worksafe and TAC system and legislation. Report writing and communication with your case manager is important and a delay in these can affect your claim.
    Many clinics actually refuse to see Worksafe or TAC patients (or least make them claim themselves) due to the complexity of the system.
