Does Worksafe Cover Exercise Physiology?
If you've been injured at work, Worksafe Victoria may cover Exercise Physiology as part of your rehabilitation.
A referral from your GP and approval from your case manager is required BEFORE you can claim your sessions through workcover.

It is important to understand that Worksafe Victoria will only partially cover the cost of your sessions. Some case managers will say you are fully covered, but this is very rare.
There will be a gap fee.
How to Get Approved for Worksafe-Funded EP

Step 1: Get a referral from your GP or Medical Specialist.

Step 2: Contact your case manager and send them the referral.
(Your referral must be approved by Worksafe before starting treatment). -
Step 3: Once approved, your case manager will send you an approval letter stating how many EP sessions they will fund and for how long, which can be extended if needed.

Step 4: Bring both the referral and approval letter to your first appointment (or send it beforehand for an even smoother process!)
